Feeling pale with the fulfillment of another faded Indiana winter?

Ta da!

To the rescue with BeneFit Cosmetics' "nine one one!"--a maple tinted cream to color your lips, cheeks and eyes.

Like the look of a tan, but not the resulting alligator skin or worse? Try Benefit's "aruba aruba aruba in a tuba," a self tanning formula.

Whoops! You just thought you left zits behind at 16--you need "boo boo zap," a blemish concealer.

Jane and Jean
Try out these and other trendy BeneFit products at IU Traditions in Carmichael Center. BeneFit is a national cosmetic company founded by twin sisters Jane Ford Blackford and Jean Ford Danielson, IU alumnae (both B.S. 1970) from Carmel after modeling careers as television's Calgon twins.

"We try to be serious, but we can't," Jane told the Indiana Alumni magazine when asked about the unusual names of their products. "How can you be serious when you have a cream called 'Mrs. Robinson?'

"Makeup isn't brain surgery," Jean added. "We turn a normal experience into something fun. The idea is, 'Come on in, girlfriend! Let's play!'"

The BeneFit line has caught on with actresses such as Helen Hunt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Daryl Hannah. It thrives at cosmetic counters in stores such as Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Harrods in London, but was unavailable in Indiana until the IU Traditions location opened this summer.

A portion of proceeds for BeneFit sales will be donated to IU. Visit the BeneFit counter or key into the company's on-line catalog at:
