IUB continuing studies coordinator named Bloomington's Woman of the Year

Sally Jones, a program developer/coordinator for the IUB Division of Continuing Studies, has been named Woman of the Year and will receive the award at the annual Women's History Month luncheon March 10 at the Bloomington-Monroe County Convention Center.

The award luncheon was launched during the administration of Mayor Tomilea Allison and serves as an opportunity for women and men to join together and celebrate women's history and achievements.

The keynote address, "Trailblazing Women-Fifty Years of Firsts," will be delivered by writer Judy Singleton, a former editor of Indianapolis Woman magazine who is currently writing a book about Indiana women who have broken gender barriers. In 1997, Singleton was named one of Indianapolis' most influential women by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
