What type of impact do the financial markets in the Pacific Rim have on communities such as Kokomo, Marion, Logansport or Peru?
Three international business leaders will address these topics during a panel discussion, "Global Management and the U.S./Pacific Rim Economic Relations" at 2:30 p.m., Thursday (March 4), at IU Kokomo's Kresge Auditorium. Panelists will be Se Ung Lee, head of Korea Industrial Gases Ltd. and chairman of the board of the Sung Shin Educational Foundation, affiliated with the Sung Shin Women's University, Korea; and Kokomo's Tom Sheehan, head of Syndicate Sales, Inc., and Francis Petro, head of Haynes International, Inc. The panel discussion will be moderated by IUK's Thomas von der Embse, dean for the Division of Business and Economics.
Prior to the panel discussion, Lee and IUK Chancellor Emita Hill will sign an international exchange agreement between Sung Shin and IUK toward facilitating visits between the campuses.
