University Information Technology Services' (UITS) Unix Workstation Support Group (UWSG) will host LinuxFest '99 on Tuesday (March 9) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Indiana Memorial Union (State Room East, second floor) on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.
The event will include free Linux installation help--you can even haul your machine in for on-the-spot assistance--free individual consulting provided by UWSG staff members; and Linux demonstrations running on multiple vendor platforms (Sun, DEC, Intel, MIPS). Linux is a Unix-like alternative for PCs that can be downloaded for free from the World Wide Web. For more information:
