On Feb. 4, IU East dedicated a gift from its graduating class of 1997--a mural (detail at right), located on the wall outside the IU East Community Room in Whitewater Hall. The mural features portraits of Arthur Vivian and Brice E. Hayes, long-time friends of IU East. Representing the class of 1997 was Angela Fairchild Kemp (B.S., Education), a board member of the IU East Alumni Association. The mural was painted by IU East alumna Pamela Bliss Ferguson (B.S., General Studies '98). Ferguson is best known for several large murals with jazz themes around the Richmond community.
