IUAA providing electronic mail forwarding to IU grads

By Joan Hall

The Indiana University Alumni Association (IUAA) is now offering permanent IU E-mail addresses to new graduates, members of the IUAA and all IU alumni. The new service is the virtual equivalent to postal mail forwarding.

Students' IU E-mail accounts expire 30 days after they graduate.

The address after the "@" sign will read "alumni.indiana.edu."

The IU Alumni Association will receive the graduate's E-mail at the graduate's permanent IU E-mail address, then forward it to them at their home, work or wherever they have established a new E-mail account.

When graduates switch jobs or E-mail service providers, and their E-mail addresses change, they can update their addresses through the IUAA Web site.

Their E-mail will automatically be forwarded to them. Graduates may move from job to job or place to place, but people will always be able to reach them through their permanent IU E-mail address. IU graduates and IUAA members may register for their permanent IU E-mail address by going to this IUAA Web site:
