IPFW students with access to the World Wide Web can now find course materials on line. Helmke Library recently celebrated the grand opening of ReservesEXpress--an electronic course reserves system. REX allows students to find course materials at their convenience.

Students supply a user name and password to log into the system. They then can view and print course materials using the free and widely available Adobe Acrobat Reader. 
In 1996, Indiana University awarded Helmke Library a Strategic Directions Initiative grant to develop a Digital Document Management System (DDMS). REX is the cornerstone of that system.
Once REX is well underway, Helmke Library staff plan to digitize other important collections, including library guides, high-demand university archives and Fort Wayne city documents.
