- Walter Palmer, a member of the 100th Fighter Squadron of the 332nd Fighter Group, the first African-American military aviators, signs an autograph for Fabian Purnell who was visiting IUK during a United Way Day of Caring. A photographic exhibit of the "Tuskegee Airmen" of World War II is on display through Sept. 20 at the IUK Art Gallery in conjunction with last week's EMA conference. (See story this issue)
