Dr. Deborah Allen is the first to be the Otis R. Bowen Professor of family medicine at the IU School of Medicine, in recognition of Bowen's contributions to family medicine at IU and throughout the country. Allen is the new director of the Bowen Research Center, headquartered at IUPUI. The center is a collaborative program between the School of Medicine and the School of Public and Environment Affairs.
