U.S. News and World Report has named Indiana University Northwest one of the top midwestern regional universities in the campus diversity section of the magazine's America's Best Colleges rankings and guidebook.

It is the second year the guidebook has featured schools with the most diverse student bodies and the second year IU Northwest has been featured. (See IU Home Pages' archived story on line at:

IU Northwest ranked fifth in the category, behind Northeastern Illinois University, Roosevelt University (Ill.), Columbia College (Ill.), and National-Louis University (Ill.). The next five schools in the category ranking were St. Xavier University (Ill.), Lincoln University (Mo), Benedictine University (Ill.), Marygrove College (Mich.), and Dominican University (Ill.)
IU Bloomington ranked 30th among national public universities.
