Did you know: More than 12 percent of all Hoosiers were born before 1933? Indiana is ranked 8th nationally in manufacturing employment? The 1998-99 Indiana Factbook, compiled, edited and produced by the Indiana Business Research Center, IU Kelley School of Business, was published last month by the IU Press. The volume contains resource material for business people, realtors, historians and public officials, among others.
Alternatives to assisted suicide is the subject of a day-long conference at the IU School of Law-Bloomington Oct. 24. The conference is open to the public free of charge and is co-sponsored by IU's Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions. Conference organizer is Roger Dworkin, Robert H. McKinney Professor of law and Nelson Poynter Scholar.
