  • The Halloween Family Fun Fest is Sunday (Oct. 31), 1-4 p.m. at the Mathers Museum, 416 N. Indiana Ave., at IUB. Explore elements of traditional festivals around the world through a variety of hands-on activities, including face painting and crafts. Activities will be located throughout the museum, so families can view exhibits while taking part. Crafts will include musical instruments, dolls, puppets and paper lanterns, all related to aspects of world celebrations.


    A flea market to raise funds for United Way took place on the IU Bloomington campus Oct. 20. For information on the campaigns on all eight IU campuses, go to this Web site:

  • More than 120 employers are expected to fill the 500 Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, for the eighth annual Indiana Multicultural Job Fair. The event is coordinated by the IUPUI Career Center and is the largest of its kind in the state.
