IUN's 70 Programs Prepare Students for Success

Whether you live or work in northwest Indiana...or just over the state line in Illinois...Indiana University Northwest's legendary quality, commitment and resources are easily accessible to our students. We draw on our metropolitan location and the resources available as part of the larger Indiana University statewide system to offer students the potential to choose their pathway to success.

Students at IUN have more than 70 degree and certificate programs in eight different academic divisions from which to choose.
The Division of Allied Health Sciences boasts a nationally known faculty, a staff that is dedicated to the highest professional standards and a diverse course offering. Students learn using the most current technology and study the latest research and information in allied health fields.

IUN's School of Nursing offers varied, dynamic learning experiences to students. Nursing students venture beyond the classroom and into the greater community, where they experience health care in urban, cross- cultural, bilingual settings that reflect the "real-world" practice of nursing.

The IUN Master's in Social Work program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, and consists of both traditional course work and field work. Students are prepared with basic professional knowledge combined with selected areas of specialization.

The Division of Business is the only school in northwest Indiana that is accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business, an organization that promotes high standards in professional education for business. Our faculty are specialists in their fields and in additional to teaching, engage in research and provide consulting services.
Established in 1968, the Division of Arts and Sciences is the academic heart of IUN. Students can obtain a bachelor's or associate's degree in one of 20 areas. Students graduate prepared to enter careers in fields ranging from actuarial science to zoology.

The Division of Continuing Studies is designed to help nontraditional students enrich their professional and personal lives and further develop their career possibilities. There are numerous ways to earn class credits, including traditional course work, independent study and more.
IUN's Division of Education is fully accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. In addition, the Indiana Professional Board approved all IUN programs for teacher and administrative licensure through the bachelor's and master's levels.

IUN's School of Public and Environmental Affairs offers a creative blend of policy, law, health, environmental and management issues. Our Master of Public Affairs is the only program accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration in northwest Indiana.

Students at IUN can choose from more than 1,000 courses that will help them pursue their dream of success.
