Arlene Adler

Arlene Adler

associate professor and director, radiologic sciences, IU Northwest

"The Radiography Program at IUN offers the associate of science degree in radiography both on campus (Lake County), and off campus (LaPorte County) at Purdue University Northcentral (PNC) in Westville. Students can take their arts and sciences degree requirements at IUN or PNC and register for their radiography course work at IUN. This cooperative affiliation began in 1994."

Fenwick English

vice chancellor for academic affairs, IPFW

"IPFW is involved in distance education and that involvement is going to increase. In education, we have doctoral classes beamed from IUB. Nursing courses come from IUPUI. SPEA, a statewide school, has a common applicant pool to recruit faculty which we use. We also have a FACET (Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching) program on our campus which has generated a proposal to develop a teacher center."

Tom Miller

Tom Miller

professor of theatre and assistant dean, Division of the Arts, IU South Bend

"Through the Intercampus Research Fund, several colleagues and I received two grants which assisted our theatre program while they also established stronger links among several of our campuses. The FACET program has brought together IU faculty from around the state in a meaningful way. I worked on the leadership team for the first IU Summer Institute in 1996, and we're now planning for the next one in May."

Peter Seybold

Peter Seybold

director, Division of Labor Studies, IUB

"The Division of Labor Studies, part of the School of Continuing Studies, is a university-wide unit which delivers credit and non-credit programming across the state. The division has offices on the IUN, IUSB, IPFW, IUK, IUPUI and IUB campuses and offers a bachelor's and associate degree in labor studies as well as a 30-hour certificate. The division plays a vital role in linking workers and their communities to Indiana University."

"Our department is working with IUPUI toward developing a future school of health which will offer graduate degrees. The school is expected to be interdisciplinary, with various departments from IUPUI and IUB working together. It is possible that other campuses also will be involved."
