U.S. Rep. John Conyers of Michigan will give the second Neal-Marshall Public Policy Lecture Monday (Feb. 23) in the atrium of the SPEA building at 4 p.m. Conyers, as dean of the Congressional Black Caucus and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, will present the topic "Approaching the New Millennium: A Black Agenda for the 21st Century."
Free oral health screenings and fluoride treatments will be offered to children at the Children's Dental Health Fair Saturday, Feb. 28, at the IU School of Dentistry, IUPUI. It's a first-come, walk-in chance for pre- and grade schoolers. Hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The school's mascot, Bucky Bicuspid, will be on hand.
The university will mark its Founders Day March 1 on the Bloomington campus at 2 p.m. in Assembly Hall. Excellence in teaching awards will be presented to faculty from throughout the state.
