IUPUI's ACT-Out ensemble is featured in this month's issue of Teen People magazine. The People magazine offshoot examines the ensemble's performance of "Body Loathing...Body Love," which portrays the consequences of poor self-esteem and body image among young people. ACT-Out is sponsored by the School of Liberal Arts and the American Cabaret Theater.
Sandy Burgener and Su Moore, nursing professors at IUPUI, have received the prestigious Monroe E. Trout Premier Cares Award. The two were recognized this month for their creative care of the indigent with a $24,000 contribution to their work, the Shalom Wellness Centers, in Indianapolis.
