Sweet 35: IU grad programs hit the charts

By Ellen Mathia

Thirty-five Indiana University graduate programs are listed in the top 20 by U.S. News and World Report, which issued its new rankings Feb. 19 in 20 academic disciplines.

Three of the highly ranked programs are offered at the IUPUI campus; the remainder are at the Bloomington campus.

The highest overall ranking for an IU graduate program went to the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, which shared third place with Princeton University, behind only Syracuse and Harvard. In specialties, SPEA's program in environmental policy was ranked the best in the nation, and six other SPEA programs also were rated in the top 10, including a ranking of second for nonprofit management at the Bloomington campus and 10th for the same program at the Indianapolis campus. This is the first time the IUPUI program has been ranked.
