Physical plant carpenter Kevin Ashley (photo at left) puts some finishing
touches on the wall frame being constructed in Ballantine Hall 010 while
Bob Wetzel (left in photo above) electric foreman, and Jerry Polley,
physical plant craft foreman in carpentry, look over the plans. Such major
projects are often tackled during spring break when traffic through
university buildings is low.
- Titanic swept the floor at the Academy Award ceremony earlier this week.
And one of the film's technical consultants will be at IU Kokomo April 1.
Cinematographer Ralph White, a member of the French/American video
crew that discovered the wreck of the R.M.S. Titanic in 1985 and who later
was involved in a sweep of the ocean floor to retrieve more than 1,800
artifacts from the ship's debris field, will present two evening
multimedia shows at Kresge Auditorium to raise scholarship monies.
White was also a principal expedition member in the IMAX documentary

- "The Power of Women: Telling Our Stories" features art from IUPUI and IU
Bloomington students and runs through April 4 at the IUPUI Cultural Arts
Gallery, Room 115 of the Student Activities Center. The pieces explore a
variety of women's issues.
