Robert O'Neil, a former IU vice president, will discuss collegiate free speech April 29 at a presentation jointly sponsored by the IU Bloom-ington and Indianapolis law schools. O'Neil, director of Virginia's Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression, will speak at 7:30 a.m. at the American United Life Building in Indianapolis. He is the author of Free Speech in the College Community. The public event includes a roundtable discussion and is free, but advance registration is required by Thursday (April 24). The New Yorker's Andrew Porter hails him as "America's leading opera director." His name is Peter Sellars and he'll be in Bloomington next week to present IUB's Department of Theatre and Drama's 33rd annual Ralph L. Collins Memorial Lectures. Presentations are scheduled Thursday (April 24) at 7 p.m. in Woodburn Hall 100 and Friday (April 25) at 3:30 p.m. in University Theatre.
