Kenneth R. R. Gros Louis will retire as vice president for academic affairs and chancellor of the Indiana University Bloomington campus on June 30, 2001.

Retirement will mark the end of Gros Louis' 21-year term as the campus' chief executive. He is a professor of English and of comparative literature, former chair of the IUB Department of English and former dean of the IU College of Arts and Sciences. In announcing his decision earlier this month, Gros Louis said he planned to continue teaching in retirement.
