It's the 50th anniversary of the IUB summer workshop program which provides Slavic, East European and Central Asian language training to students during a single eight-week summer session. There is also a four week, one-semester equivalent session in Russian. This summer, introductory Azeri is being offered.

The Judson Mead Geologic Field Station, located near Cardwell, Mont., is associated with IUB's Department of Geological Sciences. The station has been in operation continuously since 1949, and 6,000 geoscience students from schools all over the world have studied there.

Beginning in 1991 and through the support of the National Science Foundation, the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior at IUB has provided research opportunities in psychology, biology and neural science for 63 undergraduate interns from institutions throughout the country.
