John Mellencamp

IUB commencement 2000 was a somewhat local affair with Bloomington's resident singer-songwriter John Mellencamp taking the podium as commencement speaker. He also received an honorary degree as did seven other distinguished and accomplished luminaries on three IU campuses-Bloomington, IUPUI and IU East-during May 2000 graduation ceremonies.
