Gentlemen, start your soap boxes

Nine-year-old Justin Yoder of Mishawaka missed driving his entry in the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio, in August. But thanks to a coalition of well-wishers, Justin got a front-row seat for the competition bedside at Riley Hospital.

When Justin is behind the wheel of his car, he's as mobile as anyone his age and faster than most. But the day of the race, the winner of the Elkhart County derby was recuperating from surgery. With the aid of PBS stations WVIZ and WFYI, the IU Medical Center's public and media relations office, and IUPUI Integrated Technology staff, the race was enjoyed by all on Justin's TV, start to checkered flag.
