The Indiana University School of Continuing Studies (SCS) has announced topics for the 1997-98 Faculty Development Series on Learning Technologies. This is the third year for the series, which provides faculty the opportunity to share information about technology-assisted instruction.
All faculty, associate instructors and graduate students are encouraged to participate, regardless of their experience in using learning technologies.
Topics for this year's series were derived from surveys distributed to more than 200 faculty during the summer.
"Sixty-five faculty responded to the surveys," said David Perry, chair of the Faculty Development Committee and special projects director for Instructional Support Services on the Bloomington campus. "Their responses show that faculty are most interested in topics related to Web based instruction and technologies. Except for two special programs on Sept. 26 and Nov. 7, this year's programs will focus on how faculty can develop and use materials on the World Wide Web."
