What's cool -- pick of the week

This week, Home Pages got an address update from Diane Tessaglia, research coordinator of the Project FeederWatch at Cornell University (addresses above). Last winter, we had run Cornell University's Laboratory of Ornithology Web site address and got quite a bit of feedback. Tessaglia wanted us to be sure that Hoosiers interested in birdwatching, migrations, species counts and bird feeding would know the proper place to go. We told you last year this site is for the birds and it is still one of the best sites around. You'll get a taste of Living Bird magazine, and Pete Dunne's column, "The Catbird Seat," a lesson in birding etiquette, is on line. Learn about the largest collection of its kind in the world, the Library of Natural Sounds (LNS), which serves as a vital tool for bird conservation. LNS contains a collection of almost 120,000 wildlife recordings, including 5,400 species of birds.
