"Destination: Education IUK" is a partnership between IU Kokomo and community leaders to provide skills and funds necessary to assist bright teenagers who face barriers to higher education. The "Class of 1997" will be the first group of eighth graders to complete a five-year, pre-college commitment required for each to be granted a $2,000 IUK scholarship.

Upward Bound at IUPUI provides high school students with the opportunity for instruction, testing, counseling and a six-week summer residential program on campus. The federally supplemented program selects students based on commitment to academic success, economic factors and status as potential first-generation college students.
