• Co-editor of the current issue of Ethics and Behavior journal is Kenneth Pimple, research associate at the IU Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions. The issue focuses on ethics in the use of animals in research and contains an article by Poynter Director David Smith titled "Religion and the Use of Animals in Research: Some First Thoughts."

• The name has been shortened -- the mission is the same. Now called the Rural Center for AIDS/STD Prevention (RCAP), the IU/Purdue center, located on the IUB campus, conducted a live, national satellite videoconference Sept. 19 on the topic of HIV prevention for youth and families in rural areas.
