- Seven faculty from the Indiana University School of Medicine were recently recognized as among the top 1,000 physicians in the country by "American Health," a national consumer health magazine.
- Fifty-eight percent of physicians, 76 percent of optometrists, 72 percent of lawyers and 89 percent of dentists practicing in the state are IU graduates.
- IU is comprised of some 3,498 acres of land on the eight campuses, and 5,701 acres of off-campus land that includes the Goethe Link Observatory in Morgan County, the Lilly-Dickey tract near Nashville, the Geologic Field Station at Cardwell, Mont., Camp Brosius at Elkhart Lake, Wis., and holdings in Iowa, Kentucky and Texas.
