Summer Language Institute
Nearly all the languages of Eastern Europe and the former Soviet republics are taught at the annual Summer Language Institute at IU Bloomington. Fourteen languages are offered, including Albanian, Bulgar, Czech, Georgian, Hungarian, Kazakh, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Slovak, Slovene,Turkmen and Uzbek. Turkmen and Uzbek, notably, are not taught at any other American university.
School of Nursing
The Indiana University School of Nursing is the largest multi-purpose nursing school in the nation, with programs on all eight IU campuses. The School of Nursing was rated 14th among 200 graduate programs surveyed by "U.S. News and World Report" last year.
