Ryan White Center to begin construction

Students who danced the hours away at the IU marathon on behalf of the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center will see what their endurance and generosity produce when construction starts next year on the center.

The facility will be part of a new Outpatient Center at Riley Hospital for Children, operated by the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. The Ryan White Center will improve the ability of the hospital staff to treat infectious diseases by offering a controlled environment in which young patients with severe immunosuppressive diseases can receive special care from teams of specialists. In addition, social workers, nutritionists, psychologists, spiritual counselors and other professionals will provide a system of support to patients and their families.
