  • Faculty, mark your calendar for Friday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m.-noon. The IU School of Continuing Studies will continue its Faculty Development Series on Learning Technologies via the Virtual Indiana Classroom (VIC) Network. Adapting teaching techniques for Internet courses is the topic, and reservations are not necessary. VIC sites:

    Check out "The Bomb Shelter," a new experimental exhibition space in the gallery at IU Bloomington's School of Fine Arts. Measuring 10X14 feet, the space will showcase a new artist or group of artists every three weeks.

    You can "visit" via the Web and view the exhibit space in real time through a "spy cam"-- a video camera that shows the space and the visitors who are there at the moment. "Experimental proposals which flirt with the potential for disaster (ie., that might 'bomb' or not be totally successful) are strongly encouraged," according to the gallery's policy statement.
