Historic Wylie Hall (above), originally opened in 1885, was rededicated today (Nov. 8) on the Indiana University Bloomington campus.

The $3.5 million renovation, begun in 1993, will house the IUB Department of Economics. The renovation is part of a project that will eventually renew all the historic buildings of IUB's Old Crescent.

Wylie Hall was named in honor of cousins Andrew and Theophilus Wylie. The Rev. Andrew Wylie was the first president of IU, 1828-1851. Theophilus Wylie served as a professor, librarian, superintendent of grounds, vice president and acting president.
