• James A. Joseph, the U.S. ambassador to South Africa, will speak at the 10th anniversary convocation of the Center for Philanthropy at 3 p.m. Monday (Nov. 24) at the University Place Conference Center on the IUPUI campus. Joseph will be one of three who will receive the university's honorary doctor of humane letters degree at that time from IU President Myles Brand. An anniversary symposium, also open to the public, will be held throughout the day at the same location.

• Get your tickets: the sixth annual Indiana Multicultural Job Fair, sponsored by IU campuses statewide, will be Dec. 12 at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in downtown Indianapolis. Those planning to attend have until Monday, Dec. 1, to pre-register for $10 -- half the entry fee at the door.
