Who is that woman and why is she smiling? That would be Sue Talbot (second from the left), who was honored by an Indiana House resolution praising her years of service to education. The honor was presented Feb. 9 by Rep. Mark Kruzan (D-District 61). Talbot is director of Hoosiers for Higher Education (HHE) and IU special assistant for external relations, and is planning to retire this year after 12 years with the university. In the background are (left to right): Talbot’s husband, Bob Talbot; her daughter, Lisa Deinlein; and daughter-in-law, Catherine Talbot. Earlier in the day, Talbot received Indiana’s Sagamore of the Wabash designation.
