It was back to the future on the IU East campus this week. A display of photos and memorabilia from 1975 was at the center of a celebration commemorating the dedication of the IU East campus 25 years ago Wednesday (Feb. 23).
The "artist’s spotlight" this month at the IU Kokomo Art Gallery is on the work of Lon Schroeder, director of IUK Physical Plant Services. He specializes in folk art twig furniture, using found materials, particularly willow, which he gathers from the creek beds in north central Indiana.
The IUPUI University Libraries Community Project allows central Indiana K-12 students to view artwork on line from museums and collections throughout the world. The project’s dual aim is to expose students to art and provide schoolteachers with guidance in incorporating art into their lessons.
