You go, girl! March is National Women’s History Month. Take a moment to
visit the Web site for the National Women’s Hall of Fame to "stand
among great women." Browse among the biographies of the 157 notable
women who have so far been inducted. Among the most recent are Madeleine
Albright, America’s first female Secretary of State and the highest
ranking woman in government; poet, writer and civil rights advocate, Maya
Angelou; and Gerty Theresa Radnitz Cori, the first American woman to win a
Nobel Prize in science. While visiting these mostly well-known women from
history, consider making your own nomination to a special "Wall of
Fame" section, where anyone can honor a sister, mother, wife, friend or
colleague. She need not be famous, wealthy or powerful, just worthy–an
ordinary woman doing extraordinary things.
