What's cool - pick of the week

Try: www.poems.com

"The urge to 'tie the poem to a chair with rope and torture a confession out of it' lessens when poetry arises freshly each day," wrote Billy Collins of the sentiment behind his poem,

Introduction to Poetry. His words introduce the Web site of "Poetry Daily," which has as a mission the saving of as many poems as possible from such well-meaning yet misguided abuse‹readers "beating it with a hose to find out what it really means"‹by serving up to its readers a new poem every day. Published by the Daily Poetry Association, "Poetry Daily" is actually an anthology of contemporary poetry selected from today's newest books, magazines and journals. Its archives house a year's worth of daily selections and offers a bookstore from which featured books can be ordered. "Poetry Daily" also offers a newsletter.
