The IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) has joined a
partnership with Teach for America (TFA), a national corps of recent college
graduates who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. SPEA
will offer two-year deferred admission to accepted applicants who also are
selected by the organization for a two-year teaching term at one of TFA's 13
school sites.

Carlton and Sue Sanders of Lanesville have given $1 million to IU Southeast
to fund the campus' first-ever, endowed faculty chair. The gift is the largest
single contribution by alumni ever made to the New Albany campus.
